Mornings with Quinn are now bitter sweet. It's such a sweet time, to be able to sit there with him for 20 minutes or so and hear all about his dreams. He tells the best stories these days. With his two teeth now very prominent he uses his tongue to explore a lot more. Blowing raspberries and sticking his tongue out at me regularly. This mornings stories were all about his struggles with the crib. He kept turning over expecting the crib to feed him but of course that's one thing it just can't do. But that didn't stop him from trying.
While i stood there watching him simultaneously trying to wake up and be fed by the crib I couldn't help but smile. And then later while laying there with him hearing his stories he regularly told me that the 'boob' was no where to be found. He literally said 'boob' a few times. That's just what every mom wants to hear... my son's first word is boob.
How awesome is that!?!
And then... off to work. That's the bitter part.
This too shall pass...
