1. He's walking. Full on, non stop, walking. He even tries to run every now and then. Typically resulting in a very graceful face plant.
2. He has 6 teeth. Yup, 6, and believe me they are SHARP! (However, he's had these 6 teeth since he was 6 months old... no sign of any new ones...yet.)
3. He'll turn 1 next month. NEXT MONTH!!! Holy moly, this year has flown by! (insert speeding car sound here)
4. He is mister independent. He won't let you carry him around anymore, even going up the stairs. He's a big boy now and MUST do everything by himself. This morning he even went DOWN the stairs without any help from myself or Eric. He just turned around and scooted his little bum all the way down the staircase.
5. His food range has grown. We started him on dairy a month early because he's just so darn skinny. He now eats spaghetti, lasagna, chicken, beef, all veggies, whole milk yogurt, craisins, raisins, gold fish, cheerios, cheese, all fruits, dried apricots, rice cereal, apple sauce.. the list goes one. This kid LOVES to eat, let me tell you what. I swear he spent more time in his highchair eating and snacking this weekend than he did on solid ground.
Along with turning one next month comes the big move to a forward facing car seat! We can tell he's excited. He stood up in his car seat yesterday and stared out the front window, and then threw a fit when I had to turn him around. He's definitely a curious on, and ready to explore the world. We're trying our hardest to make sure he hits the 20lb mark with his first birthday so we can turn him around and let him experience the front facing car ride.
Any suggestions on supper fatty (preferably high protein) foods that we can give him?
