Toothy Tales

So you may have heard that Quinn has cut his first tooth. :) I noticed it yesterday while at my friend Gaby's house. I was sitting at the table trying to eat (unsuccesfully) and my fingers somehow ended up in Quinn's mouth. While he was chomping away I thought I felt something hard and got all kinds of excited, but when I tried to look he just kept sticking his tongue in the way. So when Eric came home last night I had him help me take a peek and sure enough, tooth! It was really just a hole in the gum with the idea of a tooth, but it was there!

Well, today is tooth day for sure! It's sprouted right on up since yesterday and it doesn't seem to be slowing down. I'm so excited and nervous for this first tooth to make its grand appearance. (Is there where nursing gets tricky?) So far we haven't had any issues with biting while nursing, lets cross our fingers and hope for the best. I guess there are up sides to him being mostly on the bottle now.

Here are a few videos I shot last week of Q talking. Happy Weekend everyone!

And, I'm hosting another earring giveaway over on my design blog to celebrate reaching 100 twitter followers. Head on over to enter. :)

Catch up

Lets play catch up really quick.

Quinn is now 12 weeks old. He laughs, smiles, follows me across the room with his eyes and is working on rolling over. He fits into size 0-3 mn clothes (finally!) and has seriously started to fill them out. I swear he's going to move onto 3-6 mn sizes any day now. He loves his daddy - seriously. Any time you mention 'daddy' he lights up. He loves to be passed around and to look at everything around him. He's a show stopper - when we comes into the room people just stare at him.

As far as me, I am LOVING being a stay at home mom. I get to start my day with my two favorite boys in the whole wide world and spend time doing everything 'creative' and 'mommy' that I want to.

I started up an Etsy shop and am selling jewelry as my creative out. I'm also flexing my graphic design abilities by creating logos and brand identities for myself as well as a few clubs at Eric's school. (Call me if you need help!) I got all of my business licenses sorted out and completed and am on track to begin my interior design business. I'm working on my website for Westover Designs and am learning a lot about CSS and HTML. Who knew it was so freaking complicated and simple all at the same time!?!

Here are a few videos of these endeavors.

Happy Happenings

Quinn had his big two month check-up today. Dr. Walton was very impressed with his activity, alertness and strength. She said she wouldn't be surprised if he started rolling over in the next few days. (I'm totally okay with him waiting a little longer for that milestone, I just got him to smile at me :)

His stats are as follows:

weight: 10lbs 7 oz

height: 22"

head circumference: 15.5"

He's measuring in the 55% for just about everything.

And, I have an NKBA seminar tonight. This is the first design seminar I will have been to in over a year and a half (I kinda dropped the ball when we left BYU-I). I am soooo excited! :) I have another seminar (ASID) next week as well. This will hopefully be an excellent networking utility for me as well an excellent learning opportunity. (Not to mention some much needed adult-to-adult interaction time)

Tonights topic is: Sexy Energy Efficent Lighting for Residences, with an Accent on Kitchens and Baths. - Sounds riveting!
