Monday Fun

I woke up this morning feeling refreshed and full of life. This pregnancy has been a breeze so far (knock on wood), no morning sickness and only some slight smell sensitivity. I woke up with my alarm for the first time in months, because my fatigue is finally lifting, and went down stairs to lift some weights and do some crunches and squats. After eating a a healthy breakfast of Special K and Orange Juice I started planning my day at the office. - In at 8:30, work on my Handi Wipes files, finish up my King Tut file... and so on. However, at this point it is now 7:00 a.m and Eric yells down to me from the bathroom "don't you have a blood draw this morning".
OH CRAP! I had completely forgotten that I had an appointment for the first round of birth defects screening at 8a.m. Which ment that I not only had to get ready sooner than I'd thought, but also that I had to take Eric to school since a ride had not been arranged. This litterally left me with 15 min. to shower, get dressed and get my booty out the door. Amongst all the chaos I completley forgot to grab the paperwork that I needed to bring with me to the lab so that they would know which tests to run.
So we get out the door around 7:20a.m., I get Eric to school at 7:45 (late!), and I make it to my appointment at 8:05a.m. only to then have to sit patiently and wait for a nurse to arrive at the OB station - which doesn't open until 9a.m.! Grrrrrr. I should have just skipped the dang thing and rescheduled, but its too late now. Instead, I sat in the waiting room for over an hour waiting for a piece of paper so that I could litterally spend 2 seconds getting my blood drawn. It was not the carefree, happy, planned out morning that I had envisioned, but it all worked out in the end.
